Destination Licensed Pty Ltd ACN 697 021 346 (Destination Licensed) is committed to protecting your privacy.  In accordance with the privacy law, this policy outlines how we manage privacy protection of your personal information when you use the Destination Licensed booking platform or otherwise have dealings with us. We want you to feel empowered and informed about your privacy.

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if we make material changes to it, we will provide notice to you so you can review it before agreeing to continue to use our services.  If you object to our changes, you may notify us of your request that we remove your information from our database, and cease all use of our services.

Collection of personal information

Personal information is information that, either alone or in combination with other information collected, identifies an individual.

We may collect personal information if you:

• Deal with us directly over the phone;

• Have contact with us in person;

• Interact with us online, including through our booking platform and social media channels;

• Seek driving lessons from us;

• Seek to enrol your child in driving lessons with us;

• Complete any surveys, provide feedback or otherwise make a complaint to our organisation; and

• Otherwise provide information to us in person, by telephone, fax or email.

We may also collect personal information from additional third parties and sources, such as:

• your nominated representatives (lawyers, accountants and financial advisers);

• government organisations who administrate vehicle licensing; and/or

• publicly available sources of information or any other organisations where you have given your consent.

• signup to our booking platform;

• receive information from us;

• receive driving lessons from us;

• provide products and services to you;

• collect payments and administer your account; and

• provide you with new and updated information about our products and services.

We will usually collect your name and contact details such as your email address, telephone number, licence number and residential and postal address.

We collect this information through our staff and through our contracted agents and other service providers.

Wherever practicable, we will ask you for the information directly.  However, we may need to contact others such as government agencies, and where you are a minor, your legal guardian(s).

Cookies and IP Addresses

When you access our booking platform via our website, we may send a “cookie” which enables us to recognise and keep track of your activity on our booking platform.  We also use cookies to determine which areas of our booking platform have been viewed.  The amount of information sent depends on the settings you have on your web browser.  Other examples of information automatically collected include when you click on an ad, perform searches, view content and make a booking in respect of our services.

This data is used to research our users’ habits so that we can improve our online services. Cookies do not collect personal information; however, if you wish to disable them, this can be actioned from your browser.

We may log IP addresses (that is, the electronic addresses of computers connected to the internet) to analyse trends, administer the booking  platform and track users movements.

Sometimes we use advertising programs, including Google, Instagram and Meta, that use cookies to improve your online experience, including the display of more relevant ads.  By using our booking platform, you consent to the processing of data about you by these advertising programs in the manner described in their respective privacy policies and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.  You can opt out by using the opt out service provided by the relevant advertising entity.

The personal information you provide to us may be used:

• to allow you to obtain access to the interactive elements of our booking platform (including online forums);

• to provide you with the information, services or resources you have requested;

• for the marketing and research purposes of Destination Licensed;

• to assess any application form from you to work for us; or

• if you lodge a complaint with us, to process and respond to your complaint.

If you access the interactive elements of our booking platform (including online forums), only your display name will be shown online.  We recommend that you do not post information online that may identify you or anyone else such as your address, email address or phone number.  If you do post personal information online, your personal information may be identified, recovered and displayed by internet search engines.

We will also use this information to send you details of other products and services that may be of interest to you.  At any time, if you no longer wish to receive this additional marketing material let us know, and your details will be removed from the marketing database.

If we do not collect the personal information we may not be able to provide you with the services or assistance you have requested.

Who can access your personal information?

In providing our products and services or collecting and using your personal information, we may be required to disclose some of your personal information to third party organisations, including:

• outsourced service providers,

• legal entities including law firms,
